Built for peak performance

From flexible cutting options to robust design – this is what makes us unmistakable.

Reliable performance with large diameters
The log bandsaw is the proven solution for hardwood and large-diameter logs with the highest quality requirements.

Maximum flexibility in cutting
No other process cuts logs into products as flexibly and individually – ideal for customized custo-mer requirements.

Optimal yield through state-of-the-art technology
Advanced measuring and optimization technologies ensure maximum value from every log – pre-cise and economical.

Full control with just one operator
A high level of automation enables a single operator to control the log bandsaw, edger, cross-cut, and resaw machines centrally and efficiently.

17° Technology for speed and quality
The inclined design allows faster log transport, improves sawing quality and ensures gentle trans-fers – increasing both productivity and safety.

Built for generations
The robust construction of the log bandsaw guarantees maximum durability and reliable operation for decades.

Maximum performance through tandem configuration
The EBB-2 log bandsaw can also be installed in tandem, increasing throughput by up to 250%, depending on the cutting pattern – with the flexibility to operate one or both saws as needed.

Installation component

EBB 17° Log bandsaw

The bandsaw wheels
The wheels are made of high-quality spheroidal graphite cast iron with a hard surface for years of operation without the need for regrinding. The high momentum of the bottom wheel ensures smooth operation and optimal cutting performance

The roller inclination
For an accurate adjustment of the bandsaw on the wheels, the inclination of the top wheel can be set by means of an electric motor. Optionally, the inclination can also be adjusted fully automatically.

The saw strain system
The EWD saw strain system ensures a constant saw strain of up to 200 N/mm². A fast-responding cylinder automatically adjusts the strain to changing sawing conditions.

The wheel bearings
The saw strain is directly transferred to the machine frame by utilising the dead arbour concept. The drive shaft is thereby not loaded with bending stresses. Result: minimum bearing wear, hig-hest precision and smooth running.

The sawblade guide
Pressure guides stabilize the blade during cutting, while the saw frame is hydraulically lifted from the cutting position. The play-free upper guide is hydraulically height-adjustable.

Installation component

EW2 Log bandsaw carriage

The headblocks
The headblocks are made in extra heavy, welded steel construction and are moved on precision machined block supports. All headblocks have independent positioning by means of servo-hydraulic setworks with very high setting speeds and can therefore adjust to every log shape. The applied pressure and the dogs can be adjusted steplessly from the operator panel. The inserts of the dogs are replaceable.

The log turners
Log turners are v-type turners allowing a fast turning oft he log in both directions. The spacing of the log turners can be customised to individual requirements.

The carriage running gear
The carriage features precision-engineered running wheels made of wear-resistant special steel for maximum cutting accuracy. Each headblock has its own axle and wheel pair, eliminating deflec-tion. The headblockas can be arrranged according the customer‘s requirements.

The carriage drive
A frequency converter-controlled electric gear motor, available in 3 power sizes, ensures a highly dynamic electric drive system. The drive system is fitted with a strongly dimensioned steel rope and a winch drum.

The hydraulic system
All movements for log/lumber manipulation are hydraulically powered and the required supply is provided by a stationary power unit. This reduces the carriage masses required to be moved, saving energy and increasing the dynamics.

PF19-1 Chipper canter

The chipper canter PF 19 is used in Circular saw or Reducer Bandsaw lines and also in Profiling linesfor chipping of two parallel faces on logs or cants. The width adjustment of the chipper head supports is done by servo-hydraulic setworks.

The produced chips meet the high quality requirements of the pulp industry.

The chipper head revolutions are controlled by a frequency converter as a function of feed speed and desired chip lengths.
