Esterer Gießerei Werk Wurzen GmbH, a modern, productive foundry in Saxony becomes a part of the Esterer group of companies.

Maximilian Esterer joins the Esterer AG.

The optimizing edger system Optimes is developed and introduced with big success to the world market.
 
1982
The foundry company is taken out from Esterer AG and from then on operates under the name Esterer Gießerei GmbH. From then on, the company has become a modern, very productive and successful foundry, being owned 100% by Esterer AG.
 
1959
The manufacturing of steam engines is stopped. The same happens to the manufacturing of farming equipment in 1970. The released manufacturing capacities are used for the production of sawmill machinery.
 
1946
The difficult situation at the end of the WW II presents large restructuring tasks to the executive officers
Dipl. Ing. Fritz Esterer and Dipl. Ing. Max Esterer, which are solved successfully. In both business fields, the sawmilling technology and as manufacturer of farming equipment the company achieves a solid reputation worldwide.

The company form is changed into a company on shares. Back then, 290 people are employed.
 
1873
his son Andreas Esterer takes over as director. New machinery was put to work and sash gang saws, threshing machines and steam engines added to the production program.
 
1862
Josef Esterer started the company Esterer in Altoetting.
He used water power from the Mörnbach creek for his work shop and a foundry, did repair work for farming equipment and produced parts for grain mills and sawmills.
